Berkshire Wedding Photography, Karen & Ian, Bearwood College, Wokingham

Bearwood College Wedding

Karen and Ian's Wedding day at Bearwood College near Wokingham was a fabulous day. The weather wasn't the best but other than having to swap the outdoor shots around a bit it didn't seem to matter at all.

I arrived at Karen's just before 11:00 to photograph Karen and her 2 bridesmaids getting ready and it wasn't long before they got started on Champagne and Pizzas, I can't think of many better ways to start a day! The flowers, were delivered shortly afterwards, they looked stunning. The pink Calla Lilies in the bouquets and buttonholes were absolutely beautiful. Henry the 1949 Bentley Limo arrived promptly reminding everybody that that time was getting on.

Berkshire Wedding Photography in Windsor, Michelle and Paul

Englemere Wedding

I'm thoroughly enjoying the current spell of fabulous weather we're having and felt really quite excited as I drove over to Windsor to photograph Michelle and Paul's pre wedding shoot on Saturday morning. I was't to be disappointed either, we had a lovely morning taking pictures before stopping for a coffee in the sunshine to go through their wedding details. They were a lovely couple to photograph, very relaxed and lots of fun, I am looking forward to their wedding at The Guildhall and Englemere already!

Berkshire Wedding Photography, Lorraine & Shane's Wedding Day at Trunkwell House

I had the very great pleasure of photographing Lorraine & Shane's Wedding day at Trunkwell House in Beech Hill near Reading, Berkshire. I don't think I've had to use my umbrella all year but it seems to be getting plenty of use in August. To be fair the rain held off long enough to do all of the group shots but the heavens opened while we out taking pictures of Lorraine & Shane, it wasn't a problem,  out came the umbrella, and we managed to get some lovely rainy wedding day images.

Berkshire Wedding Photography, Laura & Simon's Wokefield Park Wedding

wokefield park, berkshire wedding photographer

Laura & Simon were married at St Barnabas Church in Emmer Green with reception at Wokefield Park in Mortimer, Berkshire. Laura and Simon had spent loads of time preparing some lovely touches for the wedding day. For example they had saved up rose petals and dried them to use for the confetti, They painted the cake figures so they looked like them, plus they hand decorated the "MR & MRS", to name but a few of the details.

Berkshire Wedding Photography, Clare & Mike's Cantley House Wedding, Wokingham, Berkshire

I had the very great pleasure of photographing Clare & Mike's weddding day at Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham, Berkshire. I can honestly say that I haven't met a couple so openly excited about their wedding day as Clare & Mike. I knew within minutes of arriving it was going to be a lovely day and I wasn't dissapointed. Between them they managed to keep either a smile on my face, a tear in my eye, or both for the whole day!

Laura and Simon are getting married at Wokefield Park at the end of May. As keen photographers themselves they chose to have 2 photographers for the wedding day. I enlisted the help of Abigail White who will be shooting with me on the wedding day and was kind enough to come along to the pre wedding shoot too.

Berkshire Wedding Photography, Hayley & Peter's pre wedding shoot, Pangbourne

I met up with Hayley and Peter a couple of weeks ago on a cold and damp Thursday morning in Pangbourne. We started with a coffee and went through the details of their wedding day before walking down the banks of the Thames for a few pictures. Despite the weather and the mud we had a great time, Peter even managed a gallant moment piggy-backing Hayley over the mud.

I'm really looking forward to the wedding in March in Shiplake!

Ewelina and Leigh were married at Douai Abbey in Woolhampton with the reception at The Donnington Valley Hotel near Newbury. Even their beloved cat "Marmalade"  made an appearance (kinda!).

Julia & Steve's Wedding Photography, St Michael's Church, Bray and Oakley Court, Windsor, Berkshire

I had the great pleasure of Photographing Julia and Steve's Wedding Day at St Michael's Church in Bray and The Oakley Court Hotel in Windsor.

Julia was christened at St Michael's so the church was the perfect location for the wedding. The Oakley Court, just 5 minutes from the church, with it's Thameside location and Gothic styling is an absolutely stunning venue was chosen for the reception.

There were some lovely touches and moments: such as the Landau from Haydn Webb Carriages which took Julia to the church and was a compete surprise for Steve; all of the groomsmen in their Top Hats, Tails and canes; Julia's Dad delivered an emotional and moving speech, even I was getting tearful; Julia and Steve had rehearsed a waltz for the first dance.  Altogether it was a fantastic day!

Dan & Dani's Wedding Photography, Taplow House, Berkshire

I had the very great pleasure of shooting Dan and Dani's wedding at the Taplow House Hotel, a beautiful venue situated just outside Maidenhead in Berkshire. One of the many things I love about being a wedding photographer is seeing families and friends all coming together to celebrate the wedding day. At Dan & Dani's wedding the strong bond between their families and friends was immediately apparent and made it even more special.

My thanks to everyone, for making me feel so welcome, I had a fantastic time!

Julia and Steve are getting married in June at St Michael's in Bray and the Oakley Court Hotel: A gorgeous country house Hotel in the Victorian Gothic style, situated on the banks of the River Thames between Maidenhead and  Windsor in Berkshire. Julia and Steve quite understandibly chose to do their engagement shoot at the Oakley Court, with it's riverside walks and ornate gardens it makes a great location for photography.

I had the very great pleasure of photographing Sue and Mark's Wedding Day at Wasing park, Aldermaston, Berkshire. Having shot their engagement pictures here a couple of months ago I was really looking forward to the wedding. Stunning buildings, wonderful gardens and plenty of indoor light offer great opportunities for a wedding photographer.  I wasn't dissapointed, the wedding was fantastic, the weather was beautiful, and it was great to meet Sue and Mark's family and friends.

Sash & Izumi, The Cliveden House Hotel, Cliveden, Berkshire

Izumi and Sash organised a beautiful day at the exclusive Cliveden House Hotel near Maidenhead in Berkshire. It was an intimate affair with close friends and family travelling in from Japan, Australia and New Zealand for the wedding.

The colours and designs of the dresses, Kimono and Saris were gorgeous. Izumi started the day in a western style dress but changed into a stunning orange Sari for the evening.

The day was finished off with a trip down the Thames in the Cliveden's vintage river cruiser the "Suzy Ann" and a beautiful sunset. Wow!

Dan & Dani, Engagement Shoot In Windsor, Berkshire

Dan & Dani are getting married in May at the Taplow House Hotel near Maidenhead in Berkshire. They chose Windsor for their engagement shoot, so we met up on the Long Walk on a beautiful Saturday morning and wandered up through Windsor shooting as we went.

I'm sure Dan and Dani won't mind me saying this, but they were pretty nervous and didn't initially feel particularly comfortable in front of the camera. Infact I think I'd go as far to say that they are the most nervous couple I've shot for some time, but they did brillianty! We had great morning and they soon found out that it's not so hard having your picture taken. I'm pretty sure that they both feel a whole lot more relaxed being photographed now.

This is one of the main reasons why I include an engagement shoot in all of my packages. If you are nervous it gives you a chance to find out how easy it is to relax in front of the camera before the wedding day.

Here's a small selection of the pictures:

Laura & Chris' Wedding Photography, Ufton Court, Ufton Nervet, Berkshire

On Easter Monday I had the very great pleasure of photographing Laura and Chris' Wedding at Ufton Court.

There were too many details to list that made the day special so here's a couple of examples to give an idea: Laura's teenage son took on the role of "Father of the Bride". He walked Laura down the aisle as well as delivering a very funny Father's speech with great confidence! Then there was "Afternoon Tea" with Sandwiches and Scones and I thought using the cups as the favours was a lovely idea. Close up Magician Guy Portlock performed to each table during tea, the coin trick was absolutely amazing!

Thanks for a  brilliant day.

Here's a few images from the day for you to have a look at whilst you're waiting for your flight home!

Wedding Gift Vouchers

I shot a wedding on Easter Monday. The Bride and Groom opted for a Braeburn digital only package but added Photography gift vouchers to their gift list to cover the costs of the Album. For the vouchers themselves the guests gave me their personal messages and we used shots from the engagement shoot for the vouchers.

This is how how one of the vouchers looked:

Sue and Mark's Engagement shoot at Wasing Park

Sue and Mark are getting married at Wasing Park in April this year and chose to do their engagement shoot there too. Wasing is a fantastic venue and great for photography! All sorts of buildings, wonderful gardens, and plenty of indoor light, offer plenty of opportunity for a wedding photographer.

We met at 11:00 on a cold damp February morning, and wandered around the gardens shooting for about an hour. Here's a small selection of shots from the session.

I'm really looking forward to the Wedding in April and just hope it's a little warmer!
